Can you see better when you feel healthier?

Upcoming on the Tzolkin calendar, the 13-day period (trecena) known as 1-Men (the “Eagle Vision” week). But before that episode begins, let’s return to the here. To presence.

Because the title I usually use to define the 10th day of the trecena is Manifestation (or destruction), 10-Chuen is the manifestation day of the 1-Ik period (the “Spirit Wind” week). It is also the day in which the period is destroyed, at least to some level of understanding. After all, there are still 3 more days to go till we begin the next trecena, so what’s the big idea about destroying ideas?

What began as a good idea (1-Ik) manifests as a day celebrating artistry and cunning (Chuen is known as the monkey). When art is manifested, the idea or vision which was its seed is no more. It has become part of reality, as a ballet performance, a novel, a marathon triumph, a slam-dunk.

A good day’s work, and a well earned sleep.

Now that the old idea is dead, it is almost time for a new idea. Something creative, maybe even mischievous. But not just yet. First I need to digest.

"Politicians are the same all over. They promise to build a bridge even where there is no river." - Nikita Khrushchev (10-Chuen)

“Politicians are the same all over. They promise to build a bridge even where there is no river.” – Nikita Khrushchev (10-Chuen)

The day Chuen is also known for it’s symbolic connection with new beginnings, and in that respect – the day of weaving new ideas into the fabric of reality. So, when juxtaposing the number 10 to the sun-sign Chuen what can I expect today?

When I get caught by the tricks of reality I am like a bull-headed monster, caught in a Greek maze.

Determination is not my problem. Maybe I’m just stubborn. The ox can plow till he falls dead. It is finding the right map, the right golden cord to follow. The one that leads above and out of the maze of my mind.

A path of Vision.

Born on this day: Nikita Khrushchev, James Monroe (5th US president), Bruce McGill, Alister Crowley, Neil Armstrong

Here’s another artist who was born on the Tzolkin nawal 10-Chuen.
